Course Availability and Required Preparation

Visiting Undergraduate and Graduate Students

Admitted students may register for any course for which they are prepared—i.e., any noted prerequisites must be fulfilled.

In over-enrolled classes, Columbia degree candidates have priority over nondegreee students.

Limited enrollment courses such as seminars are not normally open to visiting students.

Visiting High School Students

Admitted students may take credit-bearing courses in a field for which they have exhausted their high school curriculum.
