“The Barcelona Experience was an opportunity of a lifetime. I learned so much and became passionate about things I never thought I would, like the history and the art of Barcelona. The Residential Advisers were so helpful and caring. The teachers were engaging and were always ready to answer questions. What I saw and learned in Barcelona changed my life and the friends I met will definitely be people that I keep in touch with.”

The Barcelona Experience is a program in which students examine the history, art, and urban development of Barcelona, Spain, enriching their understanding of how European communities develop local, regional, national, and international identities. Prior knowledge of Spanish is not required. Students in the program share a common three-course curriculum taught in English, supplemented by a Spanish-language workshop.
The program is mounted in collaboration with the University of Barcelona, founded in 1450, the oldest university in Catalonia and the second largest in Spain.
