Thomas A. Conway Biography
Thomas A. Conway is CFO of Thirteen/WNET, responsible for the financial management of Thirteen's budget, which supports its activities as the primary public television station in the New York market, as well as a major program production center and educational resources center. Conway was formerly executive vice president and CFO of Dorna USA, Inc., an international sports marketing company. As the head of the New York headquarters, Conway identified entrepreneurial opportunities for the expansion of their core business internationally, exploited new technologies, and streamlined costs. Prior to joining Dorna, Conway served as executive vice president and CFO for the Madison Square Garden Corporation, during a period of extraordinary growth. he was involved in such major media enterprises as the acquisition of broadcast and cable rights for major sporting events by the Madison Square Garden Network. As CFO of the Entertainment Channel, Conway played a key role in that channel's merger with the Arts Channel to form what became A&E. He subsequently moved to ABC as CFO of ESPN where he was part of the management team that grew this fledgling channel into one of the most successful cable program services. Conway holds an M.B.A. in finance from Columbia University Graduate School of Business and a B.A. in economics from Fordham College.
