Richard Walker Biography

Richard Walker is a partner in IBM Global Business Services leading Strategy and Change for Banking. In this role he is responsible for delivery of business, operations, and IT strategy into IBM's largest banking clients. He was previously with BearingPoint, KPMG Consulting, and KPMG. Walker was at this combination of firms for 12 years, of which he was a partner for six years. Before joining IBM, he was living in London, where he led Financial Services Technology Consulting for the UK and co-led the same practice for EMEA. Other notable roles include being the managing director for BearingPoint's global relationship with Citigroup and the head of KPMG Consulting's Internet Business Solutions business. Prior to joining KPMG in 1993, Walker was a systems analyst in a technology integration group with a major manufacturing corporation. He has a B.S. in computer information systems from Chapman University in Orange, California.
