Mostafa Mehrabani Biography
Dr. Mostafa Mehrabani, president of McGraw-Hill Assessment and Reporting, is responsible for the growth and development of CTB/McGraw-Hill, the Grow Network/McGraw-Hill, and McGraw-Hill Digital Learning. This group of companies was aligned under his leadership in December 2004 to better meet the current need for accountability at all levels of education, and to advance learning through assessment, reporting, and data-driven instruction linked to rigorous standards and teacher education. McGraw-Hill Assessment and Reporting is poised to fill the growing demand for online assessment and reporting solutions, and to provide educational assessment solutions worldwide as countries seek to create well-educated workforces to compete in the global economy. Prior to this position, Mehrabani was executive vice president of information management and chief information officer for the McGraw-Hill Companies, responsible for ensuring that technology is a key driver of business growth across the corporation. Before joining McGraw-Hill, he served TRW, Inc., as vice president and CIO and was responsible for developing the company's information systems strategy and shaping its global information content, processes, and infrastructure. Under his leadership, TRW ranked 24th in a 2002 Information Week magazine poll of the top 500 U.S. information technology innovators. In 2001, Mehrabani was selected by the ComputerWorld magazine as one of the top 100 technology leaders. He has served on a number of boards and executive advisory committees including Satyam Manufacturing Technology Inc., Dell Computer, Microsoft, and AT&T. From 1986 to 1989, Mehrabani taught advanced computer science and engineering courses at California State University at Dominguez Hills. He holds a B.S. in computer science from California State University at Fullerton, an M.S. in computer science from Loyola Marymount University, and a Ph.D. in business management from Pepperdine University.
