Linda Chan Biography
Linda Chan is the senior IT director of Veeco Instruments, a leading provider of metrology and process equipment solutions used by manufacturers in the data storage, semiconductor, wireless, lighting, and solar industries. She is responsible for establishing and implementing policies, standards, and guidelines for the WorldWide Infrastructure. Chan is also accountable for managing and supporting Veeco Instruments’ global information technology architecture and governance. She has worked in the information technology field for more than 20 years in a variety of industries across both the private and public sectors and joined Veeco Instruments in 2000 after four years at Thomson Industries. She currently serves as a member of the board of directors for LISTnet. She was presented with the mid-Market CIO Leadership award in 2007 and serves on the advisory board for CIO Decisions Conference. Chan is active in numerous charitable organizations and participates in community activities sponsored by her local elementary and high schools. Chan holds a master's degree in business computer information systems from Hofstra University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
