Jack McGourty

Jack McGourty is associate dean at the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, Columbia University, where he teaches courses in product design and history of innovation. His extensive research findings into product development processes and product innovation have been implemented by a number of industrial and government organizations including 3M, Chrysler, AT&T, the U.S. Army, Intel, and Honeywell. McGourty is an active member in the American Psychological Association, American Psychological Society, the American Society for Engineering Education, and the Product Development and Management Association. He is the associate editor of the Journal of Engineering Education and coauthor of Team Develop, among other publications. McGourty holds a B.S. from St. Peter’s College, an M.S. from City College, an M.A. from Columbia University, and a Ph.D. from Stevens Institute of Technology.
