Guillermo Merino Biography
Guillermo Merino is a senior global sourcing executive with over 20 years of information technology and telecom experience. He has worked in structured and unstructured environments planning, managing, implementing, and delivering large and complex outsourcing engagements for domestic and international fortune 100 companies across multiple industries. Guillermo also has experience in consulting client relationship management, business development, vendor management, life-cycle delivery, and global network outsourcing. He has proven experience in delivering latest-technology, multimillion-dollar projects in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Merino holds a B.S. in mathematics and computer science from St. John’s University. He holds an M.B.A./A.P.C. in finance from New York University and an M.B.A. in operations research from Bernard M. Baruch College, City University of New York. Merino has worked at AT&T as general/program manager for IBM commercial accounts and at Lucent Technologies as global management director, business services consulting. Prior to that he was a director of information technology for a wholesale drug and a supermarket company. Merino has spoken at international executive forums and universities. He is a long-standing member of the Society for Information Management, serving in the Board as vice president of programs and vice president of marketing.
