Degree Requirements

In order to receive the M.S. degree, students must complete all requirements of the degree within two years (four terms, excluding summer) with an overall grade point average of 3.0 (B) or better.

The 36-point program is composed of eight 3-point courses and three 4-point Executive Seminars.

Core Courses (18 points)

Students must complete the following six courses:

  • BUSI W4003. Corporate Finance. 3 pts.
  • TMGT K4116. Technology in the Business Environment. 3 pts.
  • TMGT K4118. Behavioral Challenges in Technology Management. 3 pts.
  • TMGT K4123. Managing Emerging Technologies. 3 pts.
  • TMGT K4124. Knowledge Management. 3 pts.
  • TMGT K4125. Technology and Law. 3 pts.

Elective Courses (6 points)

The electives offer students the opportunity to supplement their knowledge with courses designed expressly for the Executive Technology Management program as well as appropriate courses from other schools and departments of the University.

The program currently offers four elective courses; additional electives are planned for the near future.

  • TMGT K4122. Strategic Project Management. 3 pts.
  • TMGT K4128. Sales and Marketing. 3 pts.
  • TMGT K4129. Relationship Management. 3 pts.
  • TMGT K4130. Supply Chain and Matrix Management. 3 pts.

Electives other than those listed may be taken with the approval of the program director and permission of the schools or departments offering the courses. Not all electives are offered every term. Program electives may change at any time.

Executive Seminars and Master’s Project (12 points)

Beginning in the second term of study, students are required to take one Executive Seminar per term.

  • TMGT K5101. Product Realization. 4 pts.
  • TMGT K5201. Strategic Planning and Marketing. 4 pts.
  • TMGT K5301. Operations Management. 4 pts.

Executive Seminars are open only to students enrolled in the program in Technology Management.
