Introduction

New and visiting students are welcome to take summer classes at Columbia University.

Visiting students and nondegree students who would like to begin their studies at Columbia during the Summer Term, should read the information under “General Information” and “New and Visiting Students,” at left.

• First six-week session (D): May 24-July 2
• Second six-week session (Q): July 6-August 13
• New/visiting student application deadlines: May 13 for the first session, June 24 for the second session
• Admitted new/visiting student pre-registration: Until May 20 for the first session, until July 1 for the second session
• Admitted new/visiting student in-person registration: May 20, 21, 24 for the first session, July 1, 2, 6 for the second session
