Introduction
Students enrolled in the spring term at Columbia University, Barnard College, or Teachers College are eligible to enroll in Summer Term classes. Students should consult with their adviser before registering for a course. It is your responsibility to find out if:
- There are any prerequisites or eligibility requirements for a course
- A course will fulfill a distribution or major requirement
- The credits for a course can be applied toward your degree
Students are reminded that they are held to the rules, regulations and standards as outlined in their school bulletin and in Essential Policies for the Columbia Community.
Current Columbia students are advised to read the information under "General Information" and "Columbia Students" (using the navigation at left) for rules, regulations, and procedures that are specific to the Summer Term. For all other policies and regulations, students should refer to their home school bulletin and Essential Policies for the Columbia Community.
Students currently on leave who were not enrolled in the spring term immediately preceding summer must receive permission of their adviser or class dean before registering.
