Tony Gomes
Tony Gomes is co-founder of Our Man In Havana, a creative consultancy based in New York devoted to helping clients tell their story in the most unique and compelling ways possible. Before founding Our Man In Havana, Gomes spent over 20 years as a creative director at some of America’s best advertising agencies, including Euro/RSCG in New York, where he oversaw Volvo Cars of North America and helped MCI increase revenues by over one billion dollars a year with the introduction of 1-800-COLLECT. Gomes has also held positions at Ogilvy & Mather, Deutsch and Ammirati & Puris, where he is credited with helping to create the famed “RCA Dogs” campaign. In addition to his position at Columbia, Gomes has taught creative advertising classes at the School of Visual Arts and ADHOUSE. He has won numerous industry awards, including the One Club for Art and Copy, New York Art Directors Club, the Advertising Club of New York and Communication Arts. Gomes received a B.S. in Film from Syracuse University.
