Housing

University Housing

In general, School of Continuing Education students are not eligible for Columbia University housing, although limited campus housing is available for students enrolled in the American Language Program and Summer Term.

Off-Campus Accommodations

The University maintains a registry of off-campus accommodations that lists addresses of available rooms and apartments, as well as summer sublets, in the neighborhood. Because accommodations are for immediate rental, these listings cannot be mailed, but students are encouraged to view the listings online.

Applicants must show a Columbia University identification card or an official letter of acceptance to be able to use this service. There is no charge for the service, and all financial arrangements are concluded between the applicant and the landlord. For an information sheet describing the Registry's services, write to the Off-Campus Housing Assistance Office (OCHA), Columbia University, 419 West 119th Street, New York, NY 10027. This office is staffed entirely by Columbia University students; hours vary from week to week. For office hours call 212-854-2773.
