R. Geoffrey Roesch
R. Geoffrey Roesch, ASLA, AIA, is founding principal of RGR Landscape Architecture & Architecture, PLLC, in New York City. Previously, Roesch served as managing principal of the New York office of Coe Lee Robinson Roesch, Inc. He has more than 25 years experience in the master planning and design of buildings and grounds for cultural institutions, urban public open spaces, park and recreational facilities, commercial developments, and residential projects. His approach emphasizes the careful integration of ecological design principles and environmental preservation goals with the planning and design of open space systems and the development of new and restored landscapes. Roesch recently developed the environmental preservation and open space plan for the Baishi Yu District project, a new community for 70,000 residents in Jinan, China, and is presently designing the two linear parks that will form the central core of the open space system. He has lectured and served as studio critic at the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture and Planning, the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University, City University of New York Graduate School of Urban Design, and the Robert Wagner School at New York University. He earned master's degrees in landscape architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and architecture from Columbia University in addition to a bachelor's degree in business administration from Case-Western Reserve University.
