Spring 2013 application deadlines:

November 1, 2012

Applicants will be notified of their decision 4 - 6 weeks after the deadline for which their application was complete. Applications completed after the final deadline will be considered on a space-available basis.

A Green Roof With Roots in Morningside Heights

Columbia's own New York Stories profiled the ongoing collaboration between PS 84 and the School of Continuing Education's Landscape Design, Fundraising and Construction Administration Master of Science programs in this week's publication. Thanks to the hard work of students, professors and the PS 84 community, a new rooftop garden and outdoor classroom is becoming a reality right here in Manhattan.

Back to Nature: Louv Comes to Columbia

On April 11th, author and journalist Richard Louv will speak at Columbia University as a guest of the Landscape Design Graduate Program and the NYC Parks & Recreation Uncommon Ground Lecture Series. The topic of his talk, and the subject about which he is most passionate, is alluded to in the above quotation: The relationship between humans and nature has changed and not in a good way.
