Who Should Apply

Columbia’s M.S. in Construction Administration is appropriate for individuals who have completed their undergraduate degrees and have three to five years of front-line experience in the construction industry or related fields. An extensive background in engineering is not necessary. Prospective students may have experience or be currently employed as construction project managers, project engineers, project superintendents, safety inspectors, construction inspectors, estimators, project coordinators, field engineers, mechanical or electrical engineers, construction project schedulers/planners, construction quality control officers/inspectors, construction technicians, utility superintendents, cost engineers, construction administrators, project analysts, construction accountants, or construction controllers. The program is appropriate for those who work full-time and want to complete a part-time graduate degree program.
