Ray Master
Ray Master serves as the New York City area director and the regional northeast director of environment, health and safety for Bovis Lend Lease, Inc. He has 16 years of experience in building and industrial facility construction environment, health, and safety (EHS) management in global engineering and construction services firms, and extensive project field practice in high-rise, mixed-use, commercial, and residential building construction; power plant maintenance/expansion; industrial and process facility upgrades; and transportation system construction/expansion. His expertise involves management of EHS code compliance, interpretation, and implementation strategies during building and facility construction in the U.S. and abroad. His services include development and administration of corporate EHS management systems to include preconstruction risk assessments, corporate culture modification, writing of technical procedures and standards of practice, incident investigation and loss analysis, project-specific safety planning, training and certification programs, and the development of various EHS management tools. Master is also the lead organizer of Build Safe NYC, an effort involving the top construction management firms organized to raise the standards of construction safety in the New York City building construction market. He holds a B.S. and M.A. in safety sciences from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a certification in construction management from New York University.
