The options below are recommended alternatives only. These residences are not affiliated with Columbia University; inquiries and applications must be made directly to these residences.
De Hirsch Residence
1395 Lexington Avenue (at East 92nd Street)
The De Hirsch Residence is available all year. It is a good place to stay if you plan to study at the ALP for several terms.
The De Hirsch Residence offers air-conditioned double and single rooms with shared baths. The facilities are clean and well cared for, with modern furnishings including bed, desk, dresser, lamp, telephone and computer/Internet connections. There are fully equipped kitchen/dining rooms on each floor.
Men and women live on separate floors.
Linen and maid services are included in the price.
A fully equipped fitness center is available for an extra charge.
The De Hirsch Residence is located at the 92nd Street "Y", one of New York’s most important cultural centers. Residents may receive reduced-price tickets or free admission to concerts and classes.
International House
International House, a private residence for international visitors to New York, offers rooms to ALP students.
International House prices are subject to change without notice.
