About Registration
By registering for courses, students undertake certain obligations to the University; a mistake can be costly in terms of anxiety, time, and money. For this reason, students should take particular care to make sure that their registration information is entered accurately into the Student Information System through either the online or telephone registration systems. Students should consult their program's calendar for registration dates.
Registration itself is the mechanical process that reserves seats in particular classes. Before students may attend classes, they must register according to the procedure detailed in this section. By registering for courses, students become obligated to pay for those courses.
Enrollment is the completion of the registration process. It affords the full rights and privileges of student status and is accomplished by the payment or other satisfaction of tuition and fees.
Final authority for permission to register in any course or program rests with the Dean of the School of Continuing Education. Registration after the late registration period is permitted only under extraordinary circumstances.
